Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 4 oz (113g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, spinach, Parmesan, mozzarella, garlic, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
- Prepare the Puff Pastry:
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any folds.
- Cut the pastry into 9 equal squares.
- Assemble the Puffs:
- Place about a tablespoon of the spinach and cheese mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold each square into a triangle, sealing the edges by pressing with a fork. For a decorative touch, make small slits on the tops to allow steam to escape.
- Apply Egg Wash:
- Brush the tops of the puffs with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake:
- Place the puffs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the puffs to cool slightly before serving. These are delicious warm or at room temperature!
Enjoy these as an appetizer or a quick snack! 🥐
