Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Parmesan Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Steak Bites:
- 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Steak Bites:
- Season the steak bites generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak bites in a single layer (cook in batches if needed) and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium, add the butter, minced garlic, and thyme. Cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Return the steak bites to the skillet, toss them in the garlic butter sauce, and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Make the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
- In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and nutmeg (if using), and let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Combine and Serve:
- Serve the steak bites drizzled with the creamy Parmesan sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy with your favorite side dish like mashed potatoes or roasted veggies!
